Risk and Safety Solutions (RSS) started with a clear mission: to build intuitive software that would help University of California (UC) campuses manage safety more efficiently and create standardization for systemwide risk reduction. What began with an initial spark of innovation has since grown into something much larger. As mission-aligned organizations outside the UC system began to take notice, we saw an opportunity to expand our impact, and in 2015, we welcomed our first external client.
Fast forward to today, and our client base has expanded beyond higher education to a wide range of industries. Our experience has taught us that while each industry has its own challenges, they all share a common need: flexible, easy-to-use solutions that help them meet their core objectives.
The evolution of our platform reflects this understanding. What began as a set of stand-alone solutions for a single client has transformed into a powerful, adaptable platform for many. Our AI-powered solutions and our no-code development capabilities represent the next step in this evolution. It allows us to customize and configure fields, roles, and workflows to precisely fit our clients’ needs—without the complexity and extended timeframes of traditional software development. This means quicker implementation, faster results, and solutions that feel tailor-made for organizations in any industry.
Flexibility and ease-of-use built into our platform is what truly sets RSS apart. Designed to adapt and scale effortlessly, our platform evolves alongside organizations, allowing them to grow and change without being constrained by rigid systems. With years of experience working alongside small businesses and large enterprises, our team understands the challenges that are unique to the broad range of industries we serve. We know how to build and support systems that help organizations achieve optimal efficiency.
The RSS mission is no longer just about building successful software with single-use workflows—it’s about creating something versatile, something that any organization can harness. Our vendor status in all 50 U.S. states allows us to offer the RSS platform broadly, opening doors to new collaborations with state agencies and private entities across the country.
The result? A platform that adapts to your needs, whatever they are, wherever you are. That’s the vision behind RSS: to continue pushing boundaries, to make business drivers and strategic concerns easier for everyone, in any industry.
