  • Diana at the CSHEMA Risk and Safety Solutions booth

CSHEMA is one of our favorite conferences, and this year was no different. It was great to reconnect with so many familiar faces, share experiences, and hear what others are working on. Across the board, it seems many of us are navigating the same challenges of trying to balance the needs of our organizations with limited resources.
Despite that, the energy throughout the week was high. Whether it was conversations at our booth or thoughtful follow-ups after my Monday talk, I left feeling inspired.

Here are a few of my key takeaways from CSHEMA 2025:

    • Garret Westlake’s keynote on the role of innovation in advancing safety
    • Budget constraints are real, but they’re not slowing down our collective commitment to safety
    • Growing interest in how AI can support and enhance safety programs

Higher education will face headwinds in the coming years, but gatherings like CSHEMA remind us that we’re not alone and that we have the creativity, community, and tools to move forward.
