Risk and Safety Solutions is excited to introduce a new version of Trip Registration (known to UC as Away), a solution that the University of California (UC) has been using for years to keep its travelers safe and compliant with travel policies. Trip Registration allows faculty, staff, and students to easily register their trips, whether for work or leisure, providing vital support if an emergency arises while they’re away.

    How Trip Registration Works

With Trip Registration, travelers can log trip details such as destination, dates, and travel segments. If an emergency occurs, UC’s Risk Management team can quickly locate registered travelers and coordinate assistance. Travelers will also receive real-time alerts through Crisis24’s Worldcue system, informing them of potential risks at their destination.

    How to Use Trip Registration

Using Trip Registration is simple. Registration is automatic for trips booked through Concur. For trips booked outside Concur, users can enter their travel details directly in the Trip Registration solution.

    Key Features of Trip Registration

    • Secure Single Sign-On: Convenient access with UC credentials.
    • Multi-Segment Travel: Travelers can specify multiple travel legs with details on transportation modes.
    • Comprehensive Airport Code Lookup: A built-in list of airport codes helps identify the closest airports.
    • Trip Management Tools: Easily view, edit, and manage current and upcoming trips.

By using Trip Registration, UC travelers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that they’re supported every step of the way. This solution helps to ensure that travel remains safe, compliant, and efficient for all UC community members.

    Available Beyond UC

Trip Registration is not just for the University of California. It is also available to other organizations seeking to enhance traveler safety, compliance, and support.
